Kazan international airport outcomes for 2016
In 2016 Kazan international airport served 1 912 954 passengers, that is up 7% versus 2015. There were 13 914 aircraft movements.
The network of Kazan airport accounted 65 flight routes in total, 31 of which were international. 39 airlines performed flights from Kazan, 15 of which were international.

The following routes showed positive dynamics among the popular foreign resorts: Larnaca +33,4 %, Heraklion +18%, Barcelona +5,3%. Passenger traffic increased in more than 2 times on the routes to Goa +92,6%, Phuket +99,8%, Cam Ranh +166,1%, and Rhodes +199%. The demand on the route to Monastir increased to 5 times: +571,3%.
The following destinations were opened in Kazan international airport in 2016: Ashgabad, Enfidha, Djerba, Prague and Frankfurt-am-Main. Tianjin Airlines opened charter flight Urumchi-Kazan-Urumchi. Among the new flights across Russia are Gorno-Altaisk, Zhukovski, and Khanty-Mansiysk.
