Day of the Civil Aviation Worker of Russia: Kazan International Airport continues the practice of introducing young people to the most interesting world of aviation
On February, 10 at the Kazan International Airport, another rally of aviation photography lovers took place, timed to coincide with the Day of the Civil Aviation Worker of Russia. Professional and newbie photographers have a rare opportunity to take pictures of aircraft take off and landing procedures at the closest possible distance against the backdrop of a snow-covered airfield.
Several zones were chosen for spotting: the end of the runway, the passenger apron, the area in the immediate vicinity of the main taxiway and others. Traditionally, an interesting spotting stage was a visit to the control tower. The photographers got acquainted with the specifics of air traffic control and radio technical support of flights. Stunning photos of the airfield panorama were taken from a height of 44 meters.
The shooting day was quite eventful - the participants of the photo hunting had been taking pictures of more than a dozen airliners and helicopters for 5 hours. Aircrafts such as Bombardier CRJ200, ATR 72, as well as several airliners of the Airbus and Boeing families were captured.
The event was attended by 40 photographers from Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Izhevsk, Voronezh, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and other cities. Among the participants, the shooting was carried out both by beginners who came for the first time for exclusive shots, as well as by photographers who had attended previous spotting sessions, as well as professional photojournalists.
Kazan International Airport regularly holds such events, as well as press tours and educational excursions in order to popularize the work of aviators, get acquainted with aviation professions and maintain interest in the history of aviation.
