
A historical record in honor of Air Fleet Day of Russia! Kazan Airport served over 21 thousand passengers per day
August 16, 2023 without false modesty, can be considered a historic day of civil aviation in the Republic of Tatarstan – Kazan Airport served a record 21 thousand passengers per day (*hereafter: on arrival and departure) – namely 21,297 passengers. The airport handled 147 flights, including 43 international.
Since the beginning of the year, the airport served about 3 million 190 thousand passengers, which is 41% more than the indicator of the same period last year.
Last year 2022 was also a record-breaking year: on December 29, the airport served 4 million passenger for the first time. This year, the airport expects 4 million passenger earlier.
Currently, Kazan International Airport n.a. Gabdulla Tukay has an extensive development route network. Thanks to actively developing cooperation with base air carriers, residents of Tatarstan and neighbor regions can choose convenient variants for flights within Russia. Over the last year Kazan Airport welcomed new international partners - Air Serbia, Pegasus Airlines, Armenia Airways, Southwind Airlines and other carriers thanks to our fruitful work with foreign airlines. Air Arabia airlines resumed their flights after a long pause. Also for the first time in history, Kazan airport started operating flights to two Istanbul airport at once.
